About

MandyKO'Brien_edited.jpg

Mandy decided to investigate her own Irish heritage after a long career in the Social Housing sector from seeing and hearing about other people’s lives.

She completed extensive historical, social-economic and political research for The Cause. Concentrating on the views of people who lived through that time. Gathering personal experiences and seeking public records, regarding the experience of being Irish in London during the troubles.

She also used her personal experience of her being brought up in 1970s & 1980s London and spending her summers “at home in Ireland.”

Her love of reading has grown from the many hours she spent at Crofton Park library as a child.

She completed a tour of Ireland in 2019 to revisit places and take the steps of her characters in Dublin.
